Notice of Decision BFF Permit HW0101

The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) has decided to issue renewed Hazardous Waste Permit HW0101 to the United States Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration/Nevada Field Office. This permit authorizes the continued operation of the Mixed Waste Storage Unit (MWSU), Hazardous Waste Storage Unit (HWSU), Mixed Waste Disposal Unit (MWDU), and the Explosives Management Unit (EMU) all located at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). The NDEP has been provided with sufficient information, in accordance with Nevada Revised Statues (NRS) 459.520, Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 444.842 through 444.960, and Chapter 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 124.8.
