The Diesel Emission Mitigation Fund opens second annual funding round to improve air quality

The Nevada Diesel Emission Mitigation Fund will begin taking applications for the second round of annual funding. The Nevada Diesel Emission Mitigation Fund helps public and privately-owned fleets replace older medium- and heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles (e.g., transit buses, school buses, freight trucks, etc.) with new vehicles that emit fewer harmful exhaust emissions, particularly nitrogen oxides. Applications are due no later than July 31, 2019.

$1 Million in Grants awarded to improve surface water in Nevada

With funding provided by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency under the Clean Water Act, the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) has awarded 11 grants to improve conditions of Nevada’s surface waters.
