Air Program Stakeholder Meeting on Proposed Enforcement Practice Updates
Nevada Division of Environmental Protection - Bureau of Air Quality Planning will hold a stakeholder meeting on September 3, 2026 to update stakeholders on changes to the enforcement penalty practices for transparency and consistency to the industry, US Environmental Protection Agency, and the public.
The proposed penalty practice document aims to provide transparency to the enforcement process for stakeholders and to update how the Division calculates recommended penalties. The example document compares the current penalty matrix to the proposed penalty practice.
The Division would like to invite stakeholders to a presentation from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on September 3, 2026 for a high-level overview of the penalty practice. There will be limited in-person seating at the Division's Carson City office at 901 South Stewart Street, Carson City, NV in the Bonnie Room with overflow seating offered if necessary. The meeting will also be available virtually through Microsoft Teams for those who cannot attend in person. The Division will take questions and comments after the presentation. The presentation will also be recorded and uploaded to the Division's YouTube channel.
If you plan to attend in person, please RSVP to Michelle Grover at m.grover [at] ndep.nv.gov.
