Comprehensive Climate Analysis for Nevada
Overview
This process is a detailed examination of opportunities for emission reduction in the State. It will provide governments, businesses, non-profits, and residents with a key resource for making informed decisions about climate actions that may be helpful for them and their communities. The analysis will demonstrate the emission reduction potential and co-benefits of climate measures (i.e. increased economic development and job creation, air pollutant reduction, expanded energy independence advancing state and national security, etc.) as well as suggest measures that could be implemented for achieving these benefits.

Engagement
Input from interested parties and the community will help ensure the analysis asks the right questions and explores helpful assumptions about future emissions scenarios.
A Technical Working Group (TWG) is being invited to provide input on the analysis. It will include organizations that have subject matter expertise, a role related to environmental and sustainability topics, and commitment to benefits for the people and environment of Nevada. The TWG will provide feedback and comments at key points in the technical analysis to support the development of the CCAN.
In fall 2025, regional meetings will be held in Las Vegas and Reno, with options for online participation. The meetings will be welcome to the general public. Direct outreach includes interviews and a focus group on community benefits among non-profit service organizations.
