NDEP - Regulations to be Reviewed

As required by Governor Lombardo’s Executive Order 2023-003, NDEP is conducting a review of regulations it administers, including all regulations under the purview of the State Environmental Commission, Board to Review Claims (Petroleum), and the Board for Financing Water Projects.

This page describes the general process and schedule NDEP will use to complete a report to the Governor’s Office by May 1, 2023 detailing how the regulations subject to its enforcement can be streamlined, reduced, or otherwise improved to ensure the regulations provide for the general welfare of the state without unnecessarily inhibiting economic growth.
