Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO) Program

General Information

Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations Permits are required for certain activities by U.S. EPA regulations at 40 CFR Part 412. In compliance with these regulations, the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) requires that concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFO) seek coverage under the appropriate permit type.

User Instructions: We suggest users read the information provided below to determine if your activity requires a Nevada CAFO permit. If you are subject to the permitting requirements, please complete the application below to seek coverage under the Nevada CAFO program. After completing the form you will need to print this document and mail it, along with all other pertinent information, to NDEP at the address indicated.

Construction and operation of Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO) as defined under NRS 445A & NAC445A.

CAFO Online Permit Application:

In an effort to improve our service to the public, NDEP has developed an electronic process for submitting permit applications. By selecting WPC e-Permitting System, the applicant will be directed to the registration/sign-in page. Please register (sign-in) and complete the application on-line, print and sign the certification letter, then mail it to NDEP with the appropriate application fee(s).
