Water Certification Computerized Exams
As of November 1, 2018, the BSDW Drinking Water Operator Certification program will begin offering computerized certification exams (through PSI testing services) in addition to written paper exams for all of its certifications. Applications and fees must still be submitted to NDEP as usual with the computerized option selected. Please allow a minimum of 10 working days for application processing.
Upon receiving testing approval from NDEP and eligibility email from PSI, you may then register to take the computerized exam with PSI for an additional fee of $69 (paid to PSI). Instructions on registering for the computerized exams can be found at the following here.
Water Certification Written Exam
All exams will be proctored on the date listed.
Applications are due as required below. Please send the original current form and fees to BSDW's Operator Certification Program and keep a copy of the application and attachments for future reference. Examinees will be contacted by a proctor with testing schedule details and logistics.
- March 14, 2019 (all locations, except Reno) — Complete applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on January 18, 2019 in our Carson City office. Test results will be mailed by the AWWA on or before April 15, 2019. Certificates will be mailed on or before April 29, 2019.
- March 15, 2019 (Reno - NvRWA conference) — Complete applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on January 18, 2019 in our Carson City office. Test results will be mailed by the AWWA on or before April 15, 2019. Certificates will be mailed on or before April 29, 2019.
- June 2019 — TBD
- September 2019 — TBD
Make sure to follow all instructions on the form and ensure your application is complete, also include all necessary attachments. We encourage operators to submit applications early in case we need more information before the deadline. If you have any questions, please contact us before you apply. Completed applications and fees must be received at the NDEP's Carson City office by 5:00 pm on the application deadline date to be considered for the exam.
Application review fees may be paid by using E-Pay. Please follow instructions on the application, not the website. You will receive a confirmation email. Please scan it with your application prior to sending, and send all pages as one document, if possible.
