Notice of Workshop - BMRR - Amendments to NAC 519A

The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) is proposing regulations that will amend Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 519A. The following workshop has been scheduled to solicit comments from persons interested in the amendment, which is described below. 

Permanent Regulation R145-24 (P2024-21): The NDEP is proposing revisions to Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 519A.392: Payments for deposit into a Fund; use and reimbursement of the money in the Fund. The change seeks to increase funding to the Trust Fund for Short-Term Fluid Management to ensure the State can manage process fluids at a mining operation in case of operators’ default, until the posted surety can be utilized, at which time the fund will be replenished.
