Clean Trucks and Buses Incentive Program

Clean Trucks and Buses is an incentive program created from the 82nd legislative session under AB184.

The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection proposed regulation R144-24 was presented to and approved by the State Environmental Commission on November 19, 2024, and the Legislative Commission on December 19, 2024. This regulation, required by state law, further sets the foundational requirements of the program and marks a major milestone for the program’s development. Although the Program’s foundational requirements are now set in statute and regulation, we are still in the process of creating the program and application with the Nevada Department of Transportation. More information is needed from the Federal Highway Administration on the requirements associated with the Carbon Reduction Program, which are the federal funds funding this program, before the program can be developed and implemented.
