Anaconda Community Involvement Participation Plan (CIPP)

Anaconda Copper Mine Site Community Involvement and Participation Plan

The Community Involvement and Participation Plan (CIPP) is a living document that NDEP uses to inform and guide community involvement and outreach. Per Deferral Agreement requirements, NDEP prepared a draft CIPP within 90 days after signing of the Deferral Agreement. The draft CIPP was released on May 7, 2018, and it was finalized on July 23, 2018. The CIPP is updated periodically. The current CIPP was updated on November 25, 2019.

The CIPP serves as the framework to ensure successful information exchange with the public, community leaders, elected officials, local landowners, stakeholders, and Tribes with accurate, timely information about site investigations and remedial action/closure activities, as well as other important technical and administrative matters.
