NDEP is Reopening the 2024 Recycling Grant Application Process
The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) is reopening the application process for the 2024 Recycling Grant through November 17, 2023, for projects that divert materials from Nevada landfills, including increasing access to recycling and improving the quality of collected materials. The grant has a total of up to $50,000.00 available in fiscal year 2024 (July 1, 2023- June 30, 2024). Proposals will be accepted from municipalities, nonprofit organizations, schools, school districts, tribes, the Nevada System of Higher Education, and other public institutions located in Nevada. The funding comes from the Solid Waste Management Account which receives $1.00 per tire for each retail tire sold in Nevada. The deadline to submit applications is 5 p.m., November 17, 2023.
