Minimal Market brings zero-waste options to downtown Las Vegas

Owners of Minimal Market

Minimal Market is a refillable, zero-waste shop located downtown in Las Vegas, Nevada. Local women have come together to create a small business that inspires conscious consumerism through local, sustainable, and handcrafted goods. Their mission is to provide everyday alternatives to disposable, wasteful products in order to change the way we live and to secure a more sustainable future.

Making DIY products like laundry detergent and soaps can be a daunting task, so Minimal Market has decided to help support the community by offering a space where these products can be both ethically and conveniently purchased instead. A list of their products can be found on their website (minimalmarketlv.com) and Instagram page (minimalmarketlv).

Minimal Market customers can either go into the store with their own clean jars/containers, or purchase jars inside where employees safely fill them up with everyday products that would otherwise be sold in single-use plastic containers. Customers can also join their zero-waste delivery service. This service is contact free, and customers can either keep their jars, or place clean, empty jars outside for pick-up to receive a $3 credit for their next purchase. This program incentivizes the community to continuously reuse their containers.

Numerous customers are new to the zero-waste lifestyle and are surprised by how simple the idea really is. They often wonder why there aren’t more zero-waste options and are now loyal customers to Minimal Market. They are amazed by the process and are proud to contribute and be a part of the change to a zero-waste lifestyle. Minimal Market is Nevada’s first zero-waste refill shop and is located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas at 1028 Fremont Street, Suite 108, Las Vegas, NV 89101. The hours are currently open Wednesday-Sunday (11am-5pm) and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Their telephone number is (702) 287-4905 for any additional questions.
