Volkswagen settlement provides funds for mitigation projects in Nevada

CARSON CITY, NV – The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) is planning two public outreach events to receive public input on priorities, guidelines and criteria for Nevada projects to mitigate the effects of nitrogen dioxide (NOx), gases from diesel vehicles that affect air quality, especially in heavily populated areas.

Categories eligible for funding include school and transit buses, airport ground support equipment and freight trucks.
