About Danielle
Administrative
Assistant,
Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada
My name is Danielle Rene` Bouas and I am from the Oglala Sioux and Arapahoe Tribes. I am twenty-two years old and I am currently attending Western Nevada College in hopes of receiving an Associate Degree in General Studies. I only have two more semesters at this college before I plan to transfer to the University of Nevada Reno where I would like to study philosophy and music. I love helping others and I aspire to be a missionary. I want to travel the world and make some sort of difference both spiritually and environmentally. Eventually I plan to attend Bethany University in Santa Cruz, California for their graduate school to receive a Masters in Theology.
I am very excited to join the staff at the Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada and also to be working with Tansey. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn about my Native culture and the environmental issues that are of concern to us. I am glad to be a part of something bigger than myself and feel privileged to be working with the Tribal-State Environmental Liaison office. I have always had a heart for the environment and want to do my part in helping Tansey any way I can. Joining this program has opened up the opportunity for me to not only learn more about my native culture, but to also receive training in environmental issues that concern our state tribes. I feel that, in being a part of this program, I can learn more about how to help improve issues with the environment.
