About Christy
Administrative Assistant,
Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada

I am a member of the Yerington Paiute Tribe in Yerington Nevada. I am Washoe, Paiute, Chukchansi, Miwok, Kiowa, Caddo, Cheyenne, Arapaho, and Pawnee. I am many tribes but still full blood, just call me intertribal. I have recently graduated Carson High School with the class of 2009. Although I am Yerington Paiute, I grew up with the Washoe Tribe here in Carson City on the Stewart Reservation. I am considered one of our communities youth leaders.

I have attended many Youth Wellness Leadership conferences, American Indian Film Institute festivals as a youth film maker, have attended the National Congress of American Indians as a youth member, I have served on my communities Youth Council as the head Youth Chairperson.

My current position as an Administrative Assistant is teaching me a lot. I am learning to take bigger responsibilities and actions. In the near future I plan to enroll at the Sierra Nevada College in Incline, Nevada. There are many things I would love to study, mainly Native American History or Studies. I love to travel and so after college plan to set out into the world and see it for myself.
