Slide Show -- Achieving Zero Waste
The philosophy behind Zero Waste is to reduce or eliminate trash, such as that found in this garbage can. Composting and recycling bins were clearly identified at the Earth Day celebration in Northstar-at-Tahoe.
A big thank-you to the volunteers who monitored the bins and educated the public on Zero Waste. Craig Witt (center), owner of Full Circle Compost, explained the composting process from his booth.
