EMAB The Environmental Management Advisory Board (EMAB) provide provides advice, information and recommendations to the Assistant Secretary for Environmental Management regarding environmental restoration and waste management issues. EMAB is a Federal Advisory Board.EMAB's Long-Term Stewardship Committee: Recommendations of the committee included adoption of a written policy on LTS, open dialogues with other Federal agencies to share experiences and ideas, and implementation procedures to assure the issues involving stewardship decisions of sites are analyzed when made. These issues include description of sites, expected costs and funding, and the legal and institutional means for assuring post closure controls remain in place. The Committee will continue to look at Institutional Controls, site specific stewardship plans, and the scoping process for the PEIS settlement.
