Link to Sites Database Maintained By the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE/EM) The Sites Database is being developed, in cooperation with other Federal agencies, to facilitate public access to existing Federal information on a variety of sites (many associated with nuclear weapons or nuclear energy research activities, as well as government-owned sites) where work involved, or may have involved, radioactive materials. This information is being made available to help the public better understand the role of facilities involved in nuclear weapons and nuclear energy research activities and the nature of the residual contamination for which the federal government may have some responsibility.
