HWAAP-I18 BUILDING 104-2 HYDROCARBON SPILL
SITE DESCRIPTION
HWAAP-I18 is a hydrocarbon spill site first identified as stained soil during a 1991 inspection. The date of the spill event is not known. The chemical of concern are TPH. The source of the TPH product is not known. Remedial Investigation in 1994 included 0.2 acres of ground penetrating radar survey on 10 foot grid to assess the potential for underground storage tanks. Twenty-eight near surface soil samples were collected and two cone penetrometer sounding borings were drilled to assess the optimal depth to collect subsurface samples. The near surface soil samples contained up to 1,600 mg/kg of TPH. No PCBs were detected.
