Trout in the Classroom and Project WILD Workshops
February 27, 2010 at the Lake Tahoe Community College (1 College Blvd, SLT, CA) or
March 13 at the Tahoe City Historic Fish Hatchery.

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to sign up for Project WILD Aquatic and/or Trout in the Classroom training(s). We are excited to bring these trainings to the Tahoe Basin for the first time in many years. Your participation in these training(s) will help ensure native wildlife education and restoration in our region. Whether you have been active in the world of environmental education for years or have just begun, the WILD materials and Trout in the Classroom program will provide you with tools to help others gain knowledge and understanding while protecting our native species.

Both the Project WILD & Trout in the Classroom trainings are scheduled for February 27, 2010 at the Lake Tahoe Community College (1 College Blvd, SLT, CA) or March 13 at the Tahoe City Historic Fish Hatchery. The Trout in the Classroom Trainings are FREE, and the WILD trainings are $25/$15, with or without lunch. Please see the attached flyers and agendas for more information.

The Project WILD Aquatic training will introduce you to the award-winning Wildlife In Learning Design (WILD) curriculum, emphasizing aquatic wildlife and aquatic ecosystems while meeting state content standards. Project WILD will also help you develop practical skills and hands on experience that ensure meaningful and fun learning opportunities in the classroom. The goal of the Trout in the Classroom training is to provide you with the technical information, permitting requirements, and in classroom support needed to raise and release native Lahontan cutthroat trout.
