Activity Stations, Facilitators & Agency Sponsors Turbidity or Not Turbidity Facilitators: Kip Allander (U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)), Angie Paul (USGS), Tim Rowe (USGS), Danielle Henderson (NDEP), Jason Kuchnicki (NDEP), Randy Pahl (NDEP)

Excess sediment can negatively impact water quality and aquatic organisms. In this activity students learned how to test for routine parameters such as turbidity, pH, temperature and dissolved oxygen, compared the turbidity of different water solutions and discussed the effects of sediment on water quality and ways to reduce erosion.
