To establish a watershed coordinator and a Comprehensive Resource Management Plan (CRMP) for the Walker River.

Smith Valley, West Walker River Bank Restoration and Sediment Control Project
Smith Valley Conservation District

To restore the banks of the West Walker river at three sites. The erosion process is contributing an enormous amount of sediment to the river system. Bioengineering techniques will be applied.

Walker River Paiute Riparian Management Plan
Walker River Paiute Tribe

To protect and improve riparian areas and water quality on the reservation.

Walker River Riparian Habitat Restoration and Tamarisk Removal Project
Mason Valley Conservation District

To remove Tamarisk from the banks of the Walker River, where it is causing an infestation. The trees will be harvested and the stumps treated with herbicides. After the treatment, the sites will be revegetated with native species.

Yerington Stormwater Treatment
City of Yerington

To construct a stormwater urban runoff detention pond to catch sand and silt, and an outlet works to catch oil and grease; to construct a drainage ditch to discharge into the Walker River.
