 March 18, 2008 — FY09 Request for Proposal — NDEP Request-for-Proposals (RFP) for Wellhead Protection Program
The State of Nevada Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP), is seeking proposals from qualified entities to provide assistance to communities and small public water systems for the development and implementation of Wellhead Protection Plans (WHP Plans). Multiple two-year contract(s) with possible options to extend may be awarded beginning approximately July 1, 2008, for one or more components if it is in the best interest of the State. Proposals submitted in response must be submitted to the State Purchasing Division no later than 2:00 p.m. on April 23, 2008. About the RFP: The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection – Bureau of Water Pollution Control - announces the release of a Request-for-Proposals for Wellhead Protection Program Grants. Approximately $200,000 of non-match grants is still available to Nevada communities, tribes, and water systems to develop and implement wellhead protection plans to protect under-ground sources of drinking water. No match funding is required. The goal of Nevada’s Wellhead Protection Program is to enable every community in Nevada to implement a comprehensive local Wellhead Protection Plan tailored to the specific community. Proposals submitted in response to this RFP will be accepted on a first come first serve basis from January 29, 2008 through June 30, 2008 and/or until remaining FY08 available funds are depleted.
