Welcome to the 2004 Operator Trainers Conference website hosted by the Nevada Division of Environmental
Protection. This site will be used to post all of the necessary information for attendees to the 21st
annual conference. Over the months preceding the conference, be sure to come to this location to get
updates (links below) on the conference planning as the program takes shape.
The Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) and the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP)
will be the host for the 2004 conference. This year's conference will be held in Reno, Nevada at the
Silver Legacy Hotel and Resort. The Silver Legacy is the largest hotel resort in the Reno area and is
situated in the historic downtown corridor. Go to the hotel reservation link for information on the hotel
and to book your room at the conference block rate.
The conference dates are Monday, June 7 thru Thursday, June 10. As always, the first day of the conference
will be a full day workshop on wastewater treatment process control. We are excited to have Mr. Ron Schuyler
and Mr. Michael Richards providing two split sessions on the latest in process control testing and filamentous
bacteria identification. This year's workshop will be "hands-on" and is going to be held at the South Truckee
Meadows Water Reclamation Facility in Reno.
Conference proceedings at the Silver Legacy Resort will commence on Tuesday, June 8th. Sessions to be provided
over the three days at the resort will include nuggets of wisdom, train the trainer, low-tech solutions to
treatment problems, security assessments, EPA updates, and process control.
As a break from all the proceedings, we are pleased to provide a dinner cruise on Lake Tahoe for the third night
of the conference. Information on this will be provided in the conference registration section. |
