Total of 14 questions, respondents asked to indicate how strongly they agree or disagree with the statements.  Two questions concerning special waste management are not included because of poor phrasing and unclear results.
General agreement that NV landfills are safe.
General agreement that transfer stations and public waste bins are safe.
Recognition that markets are needed to stimulate recycling.  Hard mandates are out of favor, eg. bottle bill, landfill bans, enforceable recycling mandates, volume based pricing.
Strong agreement that out-of-state waste should pay for itself.
Strong agreement that state and local government should buy recycled.
General agreement in favor of landfill certification program.  Disagreement among rural respondents may reflect concern about resources to meet certification requirements.
General agreement that we have affordable access to landfills, though some disagreement among rural respondents.
General agreement that we have affordable access to waste transfer facilities.
General agreement that we have affordable solid waste collection services.
Strong perception of illegal dumping problems in both urban and rural areas.
Urban respondents over whether recycling services are adequate.  Rural respondents find it lacking.
Rural respondents see funding problem for solid waste planning and implementation.
