Cost Data File — Nevada Standardized Reclamation Cost Estimator (SRCE)
 Calculate Your Reclamation Bonding Requirements
Back BMRR Home Page

he (COST DATA FILE) for the Nevada Standardized Reclamation Cost Estimator Version 1_1_2 (SRCE) is the agency approved EXCEL workbook file that contains the standardized cost data that is utilized by the SRCE model to calculate reclamation bonding requirements. The COST DATA FILE contains the region-specific Davis-Bacon Labor Rates and applicable fuel and equipment rental rates etc. that are inputs to the SRCE model. The inputs are updated by the Division of Environmental Protection/Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation (NDEP/BMRR) on an annual basis.

Please note that beginning August 1, 2012 the cost data file available here is compatible with only SRCE Version 1.4.1.

For the SRCE model to function correctly and the calculated reclamation bond amount be acceptable to NDEP/BMRR, the user must download the COST DATA FILE from this web-site to use in conjunction with the SRCE model.

The SRCE model may be downloaded at http://www.nvbond.org/ that web-site also contains useful features such as a place for FAQ's, user comments and suggestions, bug reports, and other supporting documentation as it becomes available.

Supporting documentation such as contractor quotes for the standardized costs included in the COST DATA FILE is also available on this site by downloading the file Source Data and extracting the contained pdf files to your computer.

It is anticipated that there may be periodic amendments and/or added modules to the SRCE spreadsheet. Therefore, a review, approval and modification acceptance process was established. Details of that process are available below -- see SRCE Policies & Procedures.

Calculation of mobilization and demobilization costs for reclamation equipment must be calculated for any project. A convenient way to accomplish this is to download the file 2013_mob_demob.xls which is an EXCEL workbook developed to estimate mob/demob charges based on the distance to the project from the equipment rental company location. This current mob/demob workbook replaces previous versions and is based on R.S. Means equipment rates and Davis-Bacon labor rates. Within this workbook are the mob/demob, pilot car, and assembly/disassembly worksheets. The total cost of mob/demob calculated by this workbook file can be entered on the Cost Summary Page of the SRCE model.
