TIMET — Groundwater Investigations
In 2005 a variety of soil and groundwater investigations were implemented at the TIMET plant site. Pictures of the investigation are provided below.
A large work area was set up for the field screening procedures that were implemented. These include PID screening for volatiles; XRF screening for metals; as well as geologic logging of the soil cores.
A rotary sonic drill rig was used to achieve maximum soil core recovery and to provide the most detailed geological log possible. Pictures of the drill rig are provided below.
Pictures of the soil core as received from the drill rig and during inspection are provided below.
