Changes to the NAC 349.430 - 349.574 (inclusive) were previously proposed and drafted by LCB in June 2004 but were never finalized.
The amendments updated the regulations governing Grants for Capital Improvements to Publicly Owned Water Systems, NAC 349.430 to NAC 349.574, inclusive. The amendments were necessary due to the program being moved from the Division of Water Planning to the Division of Environmental Protection, the addition of eligible projects authorized by the Legislature, and the changes in the fee structure for the program.
The changes to the regulation do not have any adverse or beneficial effects to grant applicants. The amendments change wording to reflect changes in internal agency organization, eligible projects, and application fees.
A Workshop was held on June 28, 2006. LCB reviewed and made edits to the draft of the regulations on August 7, 2006. The Board voted to adopt the changes to the regulation on August 23, 2006. The adopted regulation was filed with the Secretary of State pursuant to NRS 233B.067 on September 18, 2006. This regulation becames effective upon filing. A copy of the finalized regulation was submitted to the State Library and Archives Administrator pursuant to subsection 5 of NRS 233B.070 for public use.
