Board Field Trip - December 10, 2008

The Board for Financing Water Projects (Board) made a field trip to view the Moapa Valley Water District Arsenic Treatment Project and Virgin Valley Water District Arsenic Treatment Project on December 10th, 2008. The water system projects were partially funded by the Capital Improvements Grant Program. Details of the water system improvements funded by the grant can be found by clicking the link under the image sets for each project. There were no scheduled public meetings during this field trip. The Board did not deliberate the projects, nor were any actions taken by the Board during this field trip.

Schedule:

  • 9:00 am - Site Visit to the Moapa Valley Water District - Arrow Canyon & Baldwin Springs arsenic treatment facilities (Brad Huza, General Manager, Moapa Valley Water District; Thayne Clark, P.E., Bowen Collins & Associates, Inc.)

  • 12:00 pm - Lunch in Mesquite

  • 1:30 pm - Site Visit to the Virgin Valley Water District - Treatment Plants 29, 31, & 32 (Mike Winters, General Manager, Virgin Valley Water District; Thayne Clark, P.E., & Mike Chandler, P.E., Bowen Collins & Associates, Inc.)


  • Return to Las Vegas for the evening.
