Board Field Trip - October 11, 2007

The Board for Financing Water Projects (Board) made a field trip to view the Virginia City water system and new system components on October 11th, 2007. The most recent water system project was partially funded by the AB 198 grant program. Details of the water system improvements funded by the grant can be found by clicking here or clicking the link near the bottom of the page. There were no scheduled public meetings during this field trip. The Board did not deliberate the projects, nor were any actions taken by the Board during this field trip.

Schedule:

  • 9:00 am - Meet at the Bryan Building (901 S Stewart St, Carson City)

  • 9:15 am - Arrive at the Water Manager's Control Building in Lakeview Estates to meet up with George Georgeson (CSA Inc.), Mike Nevin (Storey Co Public Works Director), Mike Miller (Storey Co Public Works) and Mike Leahy (Water System Manager from the State of Nevada)

  • 10:00 am - The start of the Siphon, Hobart Reservoir, Reservoir & Spring collection system, & Marlette Reservoir

  • 2:30 pm - Lunch

  • 4:00 pm - Surface water treatment plant & new (partially funded by AB198 grant) raw water storage tank in Virginia City

  • 5:30 pm - Return to Carson City
