Remediation Programs

The Remediation Branch oversees cleanup activities and determines remedial requirements for contaminated sites throughout the state. Branch personnel work with responsible parties and contractors to implement remedial actions in a timely and effective manner. The majority of releases to the environment involve petroleum; however, heavy metals, pesticides and organic solvents are also addressed.

The Bureau of Corrective Actions does not issue any permits, but it does have enforcement authority to implement its programs.

Both LUST and Corrective Action cases are tracked together within the Bureau of Corrective Actions. Check our database to determine which individual is overseeing a particular case..
