December 2010 — Disposal of Unused Medications — With the increased availability and medical advancements in prescription drugs, more and more individuals are finding it difficult to properly dispose of their unused medications. What should you do?


April 2010 — Bango Oil Water Pollution Control Discharge Permit — This webpage provides information about a water pollution control discharge permit being issued by the Bureau of Water Pollution Control (BWPC) to the Bango Oil recycling facility near Fallon, Nevada. The BWPC permit will allow surplus effluent to be discharged on-site for dust control (water truck application) and ornamental landscape (drip) irrigation and other uses.


March 2010 — Nevada Intergrated Source Water Protection Program: The Integrated Source Water Protection Program is the result of an in depth review and update to the previous Wellhead Protection Program. Mainly, the name change reflects the expansion of the program beyond wellhead/ground water protection through its integration into many other complimentary federal, state and local programs. NDEP believes this will provide more comprehensive protection of Nevada's drinking water sources. In addition, the new name demonstrates a more intuitive understanding of the program goals.


March 2010 — Ponderosa Dairy Groundwater Monitoring Information — This webpage has been developed to disseminate ground water monitoring information for the Ponderosa Dairy in Amargosa Valley, Nevada.


December 03, 2008 — Q & A Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations Final Rulemaking [5 Pages] About the Fact Sheet — EPA has finalized revisions to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting requirements and Effluent Limitations Guidelines (ELG) for Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs). This rulemaking is in response to the decision in Waterkeeper Alliance, et al. v. EPA, issued by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in February 2005. The final rule was published in the Federal Register on November 20, 2008 (73 FR 70418).
