The Center for Creative Land Recycling, in partnership with USEPA Region 9 and NDEP, is presenting the practical and very informative Brownfields 101 workshop. This interactive workshop will be held at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Symphony Park, Las Vegas, NV on May 28, 2014. Registration includes a delicious luncheon served by Culinary Arts Catering. Numerous Scholarships are available for qualified individuals and organizations.

Brownfields 101 provides city planners and other municipal officials, project managers, developers, environmental attorneys and non-profit leaders with the tools, techniques, and resources required to improve and revitalize vacant and abandoned properties where the perception of negative environmental impacts has created a road block to their redevelopment. The event is being held at the nationally-recognized Symphony Park, which itself is a Brownfield that was once the former Las Vegas railroad yard known for unused train tracks, rusting switching yards and dangerous tar pits.
