The site is scheduled for demolition and re-development by a private developer. The need for Brownfield's assistance in the asbestos removal was recognized and an asbestos survey was completed to determine the extent of the hazard. The asbestos was then removed by an approved contractor and disposed of according to health and safety regulations. Removal was completed and the project was closed in February 2006.
