Nevada's Brownfields program is designed to create partnerships that improve the quality of Nevada's communities through maximizing opportunities for creative use.

We strive to answer the question:
How Clean is Clean for What Use!

Summary

This site was obtained by the city of Reno from a private land owner voluntarily. A Phase I completed at the site in June of 2007 revealed that there were 2 underground storage tanks (USTs). Upon review of the site's history, it was found that the site was used as a gas station from 1967 to 1972.

The removal of the USTs and their related plumbing was planned and subsequently completed in April 2008. While limited soil contamination was found, affected soils were removed and disposed of appropriately.
